Greetings Friend! If you’ve found yourself at Rare and Worthy, then we probably have a lot in common. My name is Ryane and I’m going to show you how to achieve the “professionally decorated” decor style you love for a LOT less money!

Scrolling Pinterest for decor inspiration is fun but tell me- when was the last time you did more than admire those gorgeous rooms? Minimal mid century modern world-traveler chic SOUNDS great, sure, but how do you put those words into action?

Do you have a “dream room” you’d love to live in but don’t know where to begin? I’d love to help! Share a photo of your dream space with me, and let’s see what I can do to make it a reality

If you appreciate a well decorated home but falter when faced with decision fatigue (thanks, Pinterest!) you’re in the right place! Did your new couch bust your budget? Maybe you have the “bones” of your perfect space but that’s where your inspiration ends. Or do you know exactly what you want, but it’s simply out of your budget?

‘If you find that your space needs sprucing up and you don’t know where to start, you are in the perfect place.’

My focus is on what I call the “fundamental” decorative pieces in an inspiration room. I emulate the look using a mix of Target and Amazon finds, DIY projects, and reusing existing decor in new ways. You can read more about what Fundamental Decor is and what the heck it has to do with cupcakes VERY soon!

Most 9 year olds, when asked what they want to be when they grow up, usually have an answer like “doctor” or “teacher” or maybe a unicorn. Not me. My love of interior design began the night my parents took me to IKEA for the first time. As we walked through the showroom area of the store, I was absolutely transfixed by the vast displays of furniture and decor. It blew my little-kid mind when I discovered how cozy and inviting a space can be, even in the middle of a 1000 square foot showroom. After witnessing the transformative capabilities of furnishings and decor, I said for the first time “I’m going to be an interior designer”.

As far back as high school, I helped friends redecorate their bedrooms. With next to no money (we were broke teenagers in the 90’s) and no internet for inspiration, I utilized items they already owned, thrifted small furniture items and customized them, and bought the “oops” gallons of paint at Home Depot for 1/2 price.

A lot more than my design taste has changed since then. I’m a native born Angeleno that got married and relocated from the desert of LA to the very green Portland Oregon, and over the years I’ve rehabbed 3 homes and an industrial loft. It’s a far cry from my early days earmarking pages in the IKEA catalog, but my design methodology is effectively the same. And I’m going to share everything I know with you.

There is over 20 years of design knowledge in this brain of mine and I don’t want you to miss a thing. Stay in the know HERE [INSERT EMAIL SIGN UP LINK]
